The IAMPE, in partnership with the University of Maine School of Law, the University of Maine Graduate and Professional Center, and the Maine Port Authority, is pleased to present Maritime Port Law and Business: Current Legal Issues in Port Law and Management.  This one-day seminar features segments on a variety of topics that affect maritime ports and their communities, presented by experts on each topic. 

The seminar will provide an update on recent developments affecting the industry, as well as a broad perspective on port operations and the legal infrastructure that supports it.  

The seminar has been approved to provide 7 Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Credits by the Maine Bar Association: 6 General CLE credits and 1 Ethics CLE credit. Many other Mandatory CLE Jurisdictions accept Maine CLE's.

The seminar is also worth 8 Continuing Education Credits applicable toward the Accredited Maritime Port Executive Professional Certification (AMPE).

The IAMPE is working with the Loeb-Sullivan Graduate School of International Business and Logistics at Maine Maritime Academy and the Graduate Program at Massachusetts Maritime Academy  to improve professional development for the maritime and port industry. Eligible students can receive up to 4 graduate credits for completing the MPE/IMPE program towards either of the graduate programs.
