Virtual 4-hour Continuing Education Seminar on Crisis Communications
Available spots
Course Description
The IAMPE periodically offers continuing education programs that award continuing education credits (CEU's) towards attainment of the Accredited Maritime Port Executive (AMPE). Some of our continuing education programs may be eligible towards CEU requirements for professional credentials. Maritime executives are often required to communicate during incidents that are fast-moving, high-stakes and highly visible. Whether responding to operational casualty, oil spill, cyber incident, labor disruption or severe weather event, leaders must provide clear, credible communication to a wide range of stakeholders. This course provides practical tools for developing communication strategies and crafting key messages in the face of uncertain and rapidly changing conditions. Through industry specific case studies and applied exercises, participants will learn how to assess stakeholder needs, communicate with confidence under pressure, and support effective decision-making during a crisis. DETAILS: This is a virtual program on Wednesday, August 12th from 12:00PM - 4:00PM EDT. Please Note: This virtual seminar requires attendees to have their cameras turned on with their faces visible to receive credit. By participating, you consent to the recording of your image, voice, and likeness for attendance verification and potential educational use by the IAMPE.
