REMINDER ON GRANT DEADLINES

BUILD GRANTS-The Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2019 (“FY 2019 Appropriations Act”) appropriated $900 million to be awarded by the Department of Transportation (“DOT”) for National Infrastructure Investments. This appropriation stems from the program funded and implemented pursuant to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (the “Recovery Act”) and is known as the Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Development, or “BUILD Transportation grants,” program. Funds for the FY 2019 BUILD Transportation grants program are to be awarded on a competitive basis for surface transportation infrastructure projects that will have a significant local or regional impact.

Applications must be submitted by 8:00 p.m. E.D.T. on July 15, 2019. Applications must be submitted through Grants.gov.

PORT INFRASTRUCTURE GRANTS OPEN

Grant funding to support public port infrastructure development was announced today. The new Port Infrastructure Development Program has $292.7 million available through the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT). Project applications are due no later than 8:00 p.m. EDT on September 16 and must be submitted through Grants.gov.
